Set up PayPal Payflow Pro

Connect PayPal Payflow Pro to your Bolt merchant account.

Connect PayPal Payflow Pro to Bolt so Bolt can authorize and capture payments through your Payflow gateway.

Step 1: Allowlist Bolt and merchant IPs

Use PayPal Payflow Pro allowlist documentation to allow:

  • 13.57.173.93
  • 18.236.33.230
  • 34.209.104.177
  • 52.36.152.150
  • 12.2.150.168/29
  • 12.249.26.128/30
  • 50.18.19.8

Also add your office IP addresses.

Step 2: Obtain PayPal Payflow Pro keys

From your PayPal Payflow Pro Gateway account, collect:

  • Partner: PayPal, or the ID from whoever registered your account
  • Vendor: Merchant login ID created at registration
  • User: Authorized user ID, or the same value as Vendor if you are the only user
  • Password: Account password

Step 3: Add keys and edit payment settings

  1. Log into the Bolt Merchant Dashboard.
  2. Go to Settings > Payments.
  3. Click Set Up PayPal Payflow Pro.
  4. Enter email address, password, vendor, and user.
  5. Click Next.
  6. Edit payment settings, then click Complete Setup.

Expected result: PayPal Payflow Pro appears as your active processor under Settings > Payments.

Step 4: Configure fraud settings

For saved cards, Bolt does not transmit CVV match data. Use PayPal's fraud protection guidance to disable CVV filters.

With Fraud Protection

Allow shipping and billing address mismatches in Payflow fraud settings.

Without Fraud Protection

Tell your fraud provider that payments through this processor will not include CVV match information.

Step 5: Configure non-USD currency

Work with PayPal to configure the desired currency on the gateway. A Payflow gateway processes one currency. To accept an additional currency (for example CAD alongside USD), open another gateway.

Step 6: Set up chargeback notifications

Configure PayPal Payflow Pro communication preferences for digital chargeback notifications.
