Set up Checkout.com
Connect Checkout.com to your Bolt merchant account.
Connect Checkout.com to Bolt so Bolt can authorize and capture payments through your Checkout.com account.
Step 1: Obtain Checkout.com keys
- Log into The Hub.
- Locate your Secret API key.
- If your account uses multiple processing channels, also copy the Processing Channel ID (PCID).
Step 2: Add keys and edit payment settings
- Log into the production or sandbox Merchant Dashboard.
- Go to Settings > Payments.
- Click Set Up Checkout.com.
- Enter Private Key and, if required, PCID.
- Click Next.
- Edit payment settings, then click Complete Setup.
Expected result: Checkout.com appears as your active processor under Settings > Payments.
Step 3: Set up webhooks
Webhooks keep Bolt and Checkout.com in sync for disputes and disbursements.
- Log into The Hub.
- Go to Settings > Channels > New webhook.
- From the Bolt Merchant Dashboard:
- URL: Settings > Payments > Manage Checkout.com (copy the Bolt webhook URL)
- Public ID: Developers > Public ID (replace
<public-id>in the URL)
- Select the event types to subscribe to.
- Click Create Webhook.
Step 4: Configure Checkout.com risk settings
For saved cards, Bolt does not transmit CVV match data.
With Fraud Protection
Use Checkout.com's fraud detection rules to allow shipping and billing address mismatches.
Without Fraud Protection
Tell your fraud provider that payments through this processor will not include CVV match information.
Step 5: Set up chargeback notifications
Configure Checkout.com communication preferences for digital chargeback notifications.
Chargeback handling
- With Fraud Protection: Checkout.com supports manual dispute submissions.
- Without Fraud Protection: Follow Checkout.com's chargebacks process.

Limitations
This integration does not support:
- Level 2/3 data
- ACH
