# Skills for agents

> Install Bolt agent skills to verify API calls, implement checkout, and integrate gaming payment links.

Skills give your AI coding agent specialized instructions for Bolt integrations. Install them into your project so the agent verifies API calls against OpenAPI specs instead of guessing.

## Install in your project [#install-in-your-project]

Download a skill into the shared `.agents/skills/` directory:

```bash title="Terminal"
mkdir -p .agents/skills/bolt-api-verify
curl -fsSL https://help.boltapp.com/skills/bolt-api-verify/SKILL.md \
  -o .agents/skills/bolt-api-verify/SKILL.md
```

Repeat for `bolt-gaming-docs`:

```bash title="Terminal"
mkdir -p .agents/skills/bolt-gaming-docs
curl -fsSL https://help.boltapp.com/skills/bolt-gaming-docs/SKILL.md \
  -o .agents/skills/bolt-gaming-docs/SKILL.md
```

Add a link to each installed skill in your project's `AGENTS.md`, with a short
note explaining when to read it. For example:

```markdown title="Markdown"
Before editing Bolt API requests, read
[bolt-api-verify](.agents/skills/bolt-api-verify/SKILL.md).
```

Expected result: the skill file exists and your agent can read it. Skill discovery
varies by provider. If it is not automatic, ask the agent to read `AGENTS.md` and
the linked skill before starting. The same Markdown and YAML instructions work
without provider-specific rule copies.

## When to use each skill [#when-to-use-each-skill]

**bolt-api-verify**: Before writing or reviewing Bolt API code. Confirms paths and payloads against `https://assets.boltapp.com/external-api-references/bolt.yml`. Marks unknown behavior as BLOCKED instead of inventing fields.

**bolt-gaming-docs**: When integrating in-game checkout links, Unity or JavaScript SDKs, or gaming webhooks. Points to canonical guides under [Gaming](/gaming/guide/quickstart) and verifies gaming endpoints in the OpenAPI spec.
